Say No To Crack...

Just Say No!
"D" saw this picture and said...."Look, my bum bum."

We had a GREAT time this weekend at Death Valley National Park. The weather was perfect... We left our house on Thursday with snow on the ground and enjoyed 4 Days of perfect weather.

We drove, hiked, ate and drove some more.

We stayed at a hotel in the park. We even had an extra guest in our room on Saturday night. When we got up Sunday morning, this is what I found on the floor. It wasn't alive. It had to have been to make it into the room. Around 5:30 a.m. I got up with "C". We both walked exactly where we found the scorpion the next morning. I didn't feel it and neither did "C". So SOMETHING happened to it. The scary thing is two of the kids were sleeping on the floor. When "A" went to bed tonight she asked us if there was any chance a scorpion could get into our house. Poor kids.... they're traumatized.

But before we got to Death Valley we visited a Ghost Town.

We tried to break into jail.

We found actual ghosts.

We stood in abandoned buildings

WARNING....Picture below not deemed appropriate for children under 17

We found a naked woman statue...not sure exactly how SHE fits in at the ghost town.

We ran in circles...

Super Strong Wind Hair Day

We even saw to the lowest point in the
Western Hemisphere. 282 feet below sea level.
What a great time together, can't wait to do it again....
maybe we will be able to wait after we experience
the drive home together.

GRODY about the scorpion! Did you ever figure out who killed it?
I never knew there was so much to do in Death Valley! It looks like you guys picked the right time of year to go check it out.

I am so glad you blogged. I've worn out your counter checking your site every day since Christmas.
