Hey Buddy Can You Spare A Dime?

I'll Protect You!

It's time for the Tooth Fairy tonight at our house. Our first three children have all had to have baby teeth pulled to let the permanent teeth come in. So Potato was ready and willing to go this morning to the Dentist. Not sure why he was so willing, but he was. Off we went and here are the results....

Our Bronco...It'll go anywhere...

It was time yet again time this past weekend for the BiAnnual trip to Hole In The Rock. The guys eat, breathe and dream this trip for months. They prepare, discuss and discuss again. They upgrade their outfits for this MANLY weekend. Why is it Man Weekend? You'll see from the pictures. Ricardo said that there were quite a few women and babies on this trip. No, the babies weren't any of the men...they were actual babies. These women were from Blanding...they must be made of different stuff than I am. I would never take a nursing baby on a four day camping trip. Am I the "baby"? Don't ask Ricardo...I'm know what he'll say. They drove home in a blizzard last night. We were SO HAPPY to have them home safe. "B" was covered from head to toe in DIRT. He even told the kids he needed his space when he got home, because every one was bugging him. (Too much time away from us will do that to you). I don't even have to go anywhere for everyone to bug me.....

I'm Still Recovering From Last Weekend...

These girls are not ready for heels, I mean their Mom's aren't ready for them to wear heels.
Even the Build A Bears went to the pool.
This is an "homage" to Olga's $$$Flat Busted$$$ Video....

OK...I'll admit, I haven't taken pictures this week. Although our Sister In Law evening was full of fun pictures and video that I can't WAIT to see. Olga and I are blogging fools and we really have bonded because of this obsession. Although I don't need "treatment" like she does. I need it for other reasons. Like having my sweet hubby and son far away for FOUR days. I miss them.

Not a picture of the guys trip... this just shows a little of what they are up to ...or up against.

If our Bronco had tires like this there would be no stopping us....

Tomorrow I will post the best of the best pictures from their trip. There was only ONE roll-over according to Ricardo. Sheesh, what a relief. You'll understand when you see what he and 30 other crazy people were up to this weekend.

"Get A Load Of This"

This is when we first got to the Hotel.
We found this at South Towne Mall...Ain't It The Truth?
This past weekend my cousins and I had our annual Girls Weekend in honor of our Aunt Janine who passed away last year. We each take our daughters and no boys are allowed. This is our second annual girl fest. A weekend of everything GIRL. We know Janine would love it because she was always so fun to go shopping with and out to eat with. Any excuse to have fun and Janine was there, ready to go. If she still lived up there she would be there with us for all of the "action". Let me explain the title of this blog....this year was Grace's first year on girls weekend. She was so excited to come with us and she LOVED every minute and was really good. She kept coming up with the funniest things. By the end of the weekend we had heard many of Grace's "isms". "Get a load of this" was one of them...she said this to the waiter at Applebee's as she showed off her Jasmine Cat Build A Bear. It was the perfect explanation for the fun time we were having. When we were eating at another restaurant she asked her Mom for a "strait thing with a head on it". What the heck? Luckily her Mom put two and two together and figured out she meant a "Dollar". The girls were playing video games and Grace had seen the picture of a dollar where you put your money for the game. Moms can translate almost any cryptic language. I was impressed. This trip was also a great way to get time away before the boys go on their annual four wheelin', rock crawlin' trip this week.

We'll use ANY excuse to get away for a few days and SHOP, EAT and PLAY.

Da Bears....
I thought the sticker on this package was hilarious...
This Is Daisy...

We got to Salt Lake on Friday afternoon and then headed out to Build A Bear. For those of you who have never heard of it.....stay away. "A" talks about it all the time and I'm so glad we only do this once a year or it would break the bank. But the girls LOVED it and it was so cute to watch them play non-stop with them all weekend. So enjoy these pictures of our non stop, full of fun weekend. Can't wait til next year...We'll start saving now....

Gotta Wear Shades...
We saw this darling Disney movie in 3D. It had a great message..no swearing and no innuendos.

Can you see them?....

We found a GREAT sale and were able to find matching outfits for the girls. They looked so cute all dressed alike and it was much easier keeping track of them.

They went swimming too....

We wore the girls out...

Great fun was had by all and we wouldn't change a thing...well maybe the hotel. It was surrounded by Bars, not jail type bars, but of the drinking variety. It was clean and the room was huge, but next year I think we'll stay somewhere else.

Rollin' Eggs & A Trip To The ER

The kids were out of school on Monday... Ricardo was on call for work this past weekend, so even though we got a lot accomplished we weren't able to go out of town for Easter egg rollin'. (An activity I never even knew existed until marriage.) So we headed south for beautiful weather and a trip to Costco. Costco and I have a love/hate relationship, but they keep sending us coupons for great deals so we've been twice in the past two weeks and we're talking $300 a pop. Back to the story....

A trip to the ER you might ask. For those of you who know our sweet Potato you may be thinking.....ER/Potato...like peanut butter/jelly....salt and pepper....you get the idea...but you'll have to wait until the end of this post to see what really happened.
I wish my feet were cuter. There was no way we could walk in the sand without filling our shoes. So off they came. The sand was so soft and luckily there weren't many sticks, but there were a lot of cow pies and stink bugs. (those darn stink bugs send D screaming for his life...sad, but true.)

Ricardo KNEW I would take this shot. I would NEVER blog my rear end, but his is just so irresistable. Sorry Honey.

Here we go...the sand was so soft we couldn't keep the trails we'd made from filling up again and again. Plus none of the children could remember NOT to run down the hill in the middle of those trails.

After a while the camera battery was dead and our teeth were really gritty, so we headed back out to get to Costco before it closed. When we were almost to the main road we met up with an older couple on a four wheeler. Boy were they going slow. We were in a hurry, but followed them for a little bit until they let us by. The poor woman on the back of the four wheeler looked like she was in pain. So as we pulled over to let another truck pass the couple on the four wheeler stopped us and asked for help.

Come to find out their four wheeler had fallen on them as they were climbing a hill on the sand dunes. Luckily they had some help getting the four wheeler right side up again and they had been riding for two hours to get back to their vehicle. He could only go SLOW because she was in so much pain. And she had shortness of breath. He asked if we could take her to the hospital, since they were from Wyoming and didn't even know where it was. I was a little nervous, but my sweet dear hubby is always helping people, so we got her in the truck. We gave her husband directions and off we went. She was able to talk to us and she still had her sense of humor, so I hoped she wouldn't take her last breath in our vehicle. We got to the ER, put her in a wheelchair and we stayed with her until her husband got there. Her pulseox was 96 so at least she was getting oxygen....So we did our good deed for the day, made it to Costco before they closed and were able to eat dinner at 8:45 inside Costco as they turned out the lights to signal it was time to leave. Nice, dinner at 9...what a Mom. But we did have an excuse. Aren't you glad it wasn't more stitches for Potato?

Anything You Can Do....I Can Do Better...

I Can Do Anything Better Than You....
No You Can't
Yes I Can
No, You Can't

Yes I Can
No You Can't
Yes I Can...
Yes I Can...
Yes I Can...
I Can Do Anything, Better Than You....

Let Me Explain....Last night after Easter dinner we were gathered together and started sharing our "talents" with one another. It was a night filled with "Can you do this?"...."Yeah, of course"...."Well can you do THIS?" A night full of tongue twisting, stretching and contortion. Fun Family Memories... We did find out that Aunt Jen is a freak of nature. She's a tongue twister, flexible, face contorter...(she wouldn't do the face that would freeze time though). She put us all to shame. Unfortunately I couldn't participate...I was still in my Sunday clothes, keeping the Sabbath Day holy.

It's An Easter EGGstravaganza!

"Just Dyeing To Do This"
It's that time of year again....The smell of vinegar wafting through the kitchen...yum yum. The yelling and screaming, (well that's just me). The dyed fingers for days. Yes, the annual Easter Egg decorating ritual. After another marathon day at Mom's working on the office/toy room we headed home for a "relaxing" late evening of Easter basket preparation. What joy and delight filled our home. We were exhausted, but you can't NOT decorate eggs. Can You? (Ricardo did say..."Let's just do it tomorrow.")

Step One:
Trying not to scream everytime our children stirred or removed an egg.
Step Two:
Calling in reinforcements (hunky hubby)...those aren't my hands

Step Three:
Instil the Fear of Mother in each child...often

Step Four:
Celebrate The Spoils..

Last Step:
Enjoying Every Minute Together As A Family
